What does Paro mean?

Paro is Umaimah’s mom's name and the inspiration behind the brand! Paro creates South Asian comfort foods––classic dinner table dishes that are easy to cook, enjoy, and share. Our mission is to bring healthy, quality, South Asian food to everyone’s table.

How do I cook Paro products?


How did you formulate the recipes?

Paro products were formulated with Paro herself (Umaimah’s mom) and a recipe developer. We worked with top suppliers and perfected the spice blend after trying 30+ samples!

Are the rice and lentils clean?

Yes! We purchase our lentils and rice from high-quality suppliers who clean the lentils and basmati rice.

Are your products vegan, gluten-free?

Our Daal and Kitchari are Vegan, Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free.

Our supplier has an Allergen Control Program that includes swabbing to verify the reliability of the sanitation program and they also do a full clean down between all production runs.

The Tarka is Gluten-Free but it is not Vegan. It contains Milk.

When will my order arrive?

Once your order has been placed, processing may take up to 1-2 business days. 

Standard Shipping takes 4-8 business days. 

For orders shipping to Alaska and Hawaii, Standard Shipping can take up to 6-10 business days.
