Grilled Cheese Croutons

Dipping your grilled cheese in a bowl of tomato soup is a classic timeless move...but it’s good to switch up traditions. We like to toast our grilled cheese in Tarka for a spicy twist on the comfort food. Then, we slice it up into “croutons” you can spoon directly with your soup to avoid Tarka fingers.

METHOD

  • 1

Spread a tsp. of mayo on each slice of bread.

  • 2

Heat a skillet over medium heat, add butter and a tablespoon of Tarka. For a spicier sandwich use two tbsp. or Tarka and skip the butter.

  • 3

Add one slice of bread, mayo side down, to the skillet and layer cheese over it evenly. Top with the other slice of bread, mayo side facing up, and press down gently on the sandwich with a spatula to make sure the bread is toasting in the tarka. Allow to cook for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.

  • 4

Add another tbsp. of Tarka to the skillet and flip sandwich over to repeat on the other side.

  • 5
Cut sandwich into 1x1 squares and top on your favorite soup. Paro Tip: We like to pair this with tomato soup and always add an extra tsp of tarka to our soup!.
